Three cities, dozens of participants, and one shared goal: to challenge gender stereotypes and empower women’s voices in media and the audiovisual sector.
As part of the “Breaking the Moulds, Shaping the Future” project, Albanian Women in Audiovisual (AWA) hosted three dynamic masterclasses in Tirana, Durrës, and Shkodër. These sessions brought together young professionals, students, and emerging content creators from across Albania.

In-depth discussions on gender representation in media, storytelling as a tool for empowerment, journalistic ethics, and using new digital formats to inspire social change.
Case studies and interactive exercises exploring the impact of stereotypes on media content.
Guidance and support for participants to develop their own ideas for mini-documentaries tackling gender equality and social justice.
🎥 The masterclasses also served as a selection stage for the second round of the creative mini-grants, where participants could apply for funding to produce impactful media projects.
